With all the technology in our life, sometimes it's necessary to unplug and get back to basics. An old-fashioned game night can be a great way to do this!
Reconnect with friends by hosting a game night. Or just shut off the television tonight and gather your kids for a rousing board game. You'll be glad you did.
If you go to your local toy store or discount store, you'll see hundreds of games to choose from. You may even have a game stash in your home. While you can choose any game you'd like, here are a few of my top picks for games.
For families ...
- Try Monopoly for budding investors.
- Try Twister to get moving.
- Try Rummikub to brush up your math skills. (This is my family's favorite game.)
For adults ...
- Try Apples to Apples for lots of laughs.
- Try SceneIt? for movie buffs.
- Try Cranium for something out-of-the-ordinary.
For kids ...
- Try Chutes and Ladders for old-fashioned fun.
- Try Candyland for sweet-tooths.
- Try Operation to learn about anatomy.
Sound off: What's your favorite board or card game?
