 If you wish you had the funds to improve your neighborhood park, build a new walking trail at a local school or improve the community in some other way, you may be eligible for a new contest that rewards people for giving back.
Modern Woodmen of America is searching for monthly winners to receive $500 to kick-start a community improvement project.
How it works
- Submit your dream project. (See contest rules.)
- Eligible projects will be posted for everyone to view.
- Spread the word to your friends and family and encourage them to “like” your entry.
- The Gatherings team will select a monthly winner based on the proposed community improvement project and the number of Facebook “likes.”
- Nonwinning entries will carry over into the next month and will be eligible to win again. Entrants’ Facebook “likes” will be reset to zero at the end of each month. The contest will end on Dec. 31, 2012.
