Modern Woodmen representative Larry Jordan, Newport, Ark., and his wife, Kathryn, host Thanksgiving dinner for roughly 15 family members, as well as another dozen or more of Larry’s Modern Woodmen members.
“I encourage people to come if they don’t have anywhere else to go for the holiday,” Larry says. “People can stay the whole day or just drop in. It’s all about including people.”
Larry says this fraternal spirit comes from his work as a Modern Woodmen camp secretary.
“The event is growing each year,” Larry says. “It’s great to always have an open chair and be able to offer someone a place to come and have fellowship.”
