Involving more people is helpful when planning large family gatherings. It will relieve some responsibility for you, and it gives more participants a stake in its success. Plus others will get to share the satisfaction of seeing the event happen!
Do you have writers and artists in your family? Put them to work creating invitations or planning fun arts and crafts for the kids.
Will meals need to be cooked? Sign up your family's culinary wizards. (A little flattery can work wonders!)
Have a relative who loves crunching numbers? You’ve got yourself a head of the Budget Committee!
Need tents, tables and chairs hauled and set up? Your brother-in-law and his athletic teenage sons may be just the ticket.
Of course, volunteers are always needed for the Clean up Committee.
Check in with the committees periodically to make sure everything gets done.
