Like a scene from “Phantom of the Opera,” encourage friends and family to come to this gathering wearing a mask. For a fun twist, send a plain mask with the party invitation to ensure that all masks are the same. While visiting, eating and playing games, guests are really trying to discover the identity of each masked person.
At the end of the night, ask guests to try to match the names with the person. Then, ask everyone to remove the masks. This is a fun party for adults and kids alike.
Decorating Ideas:
- To play off a “Phantom of the Opera” theme, decorate with inexpensive white masks from a party store and red roses.
- Dim the lights and light candles. This will make it more difficult to determine the identity of each guest.
