No matter what the weather outside, bring winter indoors with white snowflakes, cozy fireside moments and food to combat cabin fever.
Both adults and children will go wild over a snow cone station. Simply set out shaved ice and a variety of flavors for guests to make their own snow cones. Roasted chestnuts are also wonderful for this theme, and can be placed in bowls throughout the rooms. For a simple winter dish, cook chili in slow cookers and offer toppings like sour cream, cheese, crackers and onions. This is a wonderful way to take off the chill from the snow cones.
Decorating Ideas:
- Begin with covering all tables and surfaces with white tablecloths. Then sprinkle faux snow and glitter down the middle of the tables for frozen touch.
- Cut snowflakes from white and blue cardstock to decorate walls, hang from ceilings and adorn tables. This is a great project for kids, and can even be done during the party.
- For a natural touch, find a variety of pine cones to add to the décor. They can stay brown or consider spray painting them silver for a modern twist. You can either scatter them throughout the room or use fishing line to string them into a garland to hang in doorways.
