Shopping Party Theme After a relaxing Thanksgiving day, many of us enjoy the thrill of waking up early the next morning to shop for great deals!

I'm one of the millions of people who love shopping on Black Friday.

If you are like me and enjoy spending the morning with friends shopping for holiday gifts, try hosting an informal gathering for friends and family to refuel between deals.

Overall Ideas:
  • No need for a fancy invitation. Simply email friends and family and let them know you are hosting a shopping pit-stop for Black Friday.
  • Lunch is often a good time to host. Many people will be finished shopping, and others will be ready for a break. Serve leftovers from Thanksgiving, simple sandwiches or appetizers and drinks.
  • If there are family members (like the guys in my family) who aren't interested in braving the crowds, invite them to watch the game or hang out while the shoppers are out and about.
  • Don't forget the kids! Keep them busy while moms are out shopping. Set up some games or start some movies to keep them entertained. You may even wish to hire a babysitter, which would be a huge perk for parents!
Gatherings with Purpose Idea:
  • While out shopping for deals, have your guests pick up a toy that can be donated to the local holiday toy drive.
