Valentine's Party

Valentine's Party If you are hosting a fun shindig for your kids or other families, remember that kids will remember those little details for years to come. (Just like I still remember my fourth-grade party and those heart-shaped glasses.)

Ask all guests to come in Valentine’s attire and give them each some red and pink beads to wear and take home. Have games ready to play, like Hidden Word, with words like love, heart and romance. Or have some movies ready to pop into the DVD player.

There are so many great Valentine’s Day crafts, but decorating cards with glitter, doilies and markers tops my list. Ask kids to make cards for each other or their parents and siblings. You could also have an area set up for them to decorate their own sugar cookies with red hot candies, frosting and sprinkles.

Make sure to get a snapshot of the group before the end of the party. If the kids are anything like me, they’ll treasure the photo for years to come.
Gatherings with Purpose Idea:
  • Make Valentine's for senior citizens living in nursing homes.
