Invite guests to come dressed in their best wizard outfit. As they arrive, hand each guest an item they’ll need for the day – such as a magic wand. “Sort” each guest by letting them draw a team name out of a hat – like in the stories. Games could include a treasure hunt or the board/DVD game “Harry Potter Scene It.” Let your imagination guide you and don’t forget to consult the books and movies!

- Hang spider webs (batting) and plastic spiders.
- To create a lab setting, fill jars with colored water as “potion,” place plastic frogs around the room, along with black and silver streamers.
