Little is more classic and stylish than a black-and-white gathering. Stick to these two colors for invitations, decoration and even food and cake to really pull the party together. Ask guests to wear only black and white and show black-and-white movies.
To take the theme to the next level, serve up a candy buffet with only black and white candy (black and white jelly beans, M&Ms, licorice, etc.). Put scoops in jars and bowls and allow guests to fill bags (black and white, of course) with their favorite candies to munch on and take home.
Decorating Ideas:
- Stay true to your black-and-white theme by using black or white tablecloths and place settings. A variety of black-and-white scrapbook papers make great placemats.
- Black and white balloons and crepe paper are inexpensive ways to add festive flair.
- Print your favorite black-and-white photos to decorate walls and tabletops.
- Use white Christmas lights around the room for added interest.
