Have you and your family or friends volunteered at a food pantry, hosted a fundraiser or added a volunteer activity to a social gathering?
Tell us how your gathering touched the lives of others and you could win $5,000 for you and your cause.
And the winner is ...
The votes have been counted, and Shayla Williby, from Oberlin, Kan., has won the grand prize in the 2010 Modern Woodmen of America's Gatherings with Purpose Giveaway.
As the grand prize winner, Shayla will receive a $2,500 cash prize. Modern Woodmen will also make a matching $2,500 donation to the Decatur Area Development Fund, the organization Shayla's gathering supported.
The four runners-up will each receive a $100 donation for the cause described in their story submissions.
